Orinda, CA:

Orinda County Club was completed in 1925 on 159 acres next to Lake Cascade. OCC was visited in the recent past by several US presidents, Bill Clinton, George Bush Sr., and Ronald Reagan.

The 18-hole golf course was designed by a famous golf course designer, William Watson. It was built to be 6,315 yards long, with a par of 72. The fairways today are wide with views of the hills around. It is the most prestigious Club in the area.

Lake Cascade across from Orinda Country Club, in the middle of Orinda. It was built back in the 1920's as a reservoir so there is no swimming or boating. Do come and feed the ducks though! The lake adjoins the Orinda Country Club tennis courts. The Country Club area is filled with mostly older homes (50-75+ years) although many have been refurbished and some new homes have been constructed. The lots are large and most buyers consider the Country Club area as Orinda’s best address. Owners even miles away often claim a "County Club" address because of its prestige and dollar value in the local real estate market.
