Info provided below was obtained from usually reliable sources but is not guaranteed.

Updated 04/06: Price range estimates are VERY approximate and there may be exceptions in each neighborhood. This is intended only to give a general overview of value.  Prices are rough estimates based on the past year's recorded MLS sales and my "guesstimates" of value range. They don't reflect higher or lower value homes that I have no knowledge of or sales that have not been reported to our MLS. There may be some inaccuracies.

Happy Valley  & Upper Happy Valley, the most prestigious Lafayette addresses. Prices may start in the $800,000+/- range and go over $10,000,000+/- for luxury, estate homes.  luxury homes

Tiffany Hills, Via Roble, etc.,Quail Ridge, mostly hillside locations, many with views of Lafayette and Mt. Diablo, often wooded, some traditionals, others contemporary. $1,100,000 to $2,000,000+/-.

lafayette real estate Woodborough Area: small, newer neighborhood, private, close to BART and freeway, prices $1,400,000-$2,500,000+/-.lafayette neighborhoods

luxury homes Northridge: small, newer community of 13 homes with own large clubhouse, pool, tennis courts. Many have extraordinary views. Prices $1,800,000-$2,500,000+/-.

luxury homes Adjoining Downtown Western Lafayette: Boyer Circle, Oak, Dewing, Brook, etc. Small homes starting $600,000-larger homes nearby up to $2,500,000+/-

luxury homes Adjoining Downtown Eastern Lafayette: Brown, Walnut, Willow, small homes built mostly in the 1950's. Convenient to shopping, freeway, BART. $600,000-$700,000+/-.

lafayette schools Springhill Area: Very popular area close to Springhill Elementary and Acalanes High School.  $900,000 to over $5,000,000+/-. lafayette

Burton Valley: One of Lafayette's most popular areas. Close to schools. Prices $900,000's to $3,000,000+/-. 

Reliez Valley: Rural feeling, horse property in some spots, many have very large lots. High $900,000s+ to $3,000,000+/-.

Silver Dell: small, close-in subdivision built in the 60's and 70's. Prices start in $1,100,000+range to over $2,500,000+/-.

Lafayette Valley Estates: many, more affordable "starter" homes, some extensively updated, others original. $700,000's+ to $900,000 +/-.

Baywood: newer gated community, upper-end, very private, high demand, prices from $1,200,000+/-to over $2,000,000+/-. 

Mountain View Area: this area has a range of values from small condos in the $500,000-$700,000+/- plus other single family homes: $900,000-$2,000,000+/-.

Moraga Blvd: very close-in location, walk-to-town, more affordable area, prices starting at $700,000's to $900,000+. Very popular.

Silver Springs: close in location to schools and town, range of homes from $900,000+ range to $3,000,000+/-. High demand area. lafayette

Stanley Area: Near the Intermediate school, this area is also very popular because it's flat, near the trail and convenient to town. Prices from $900,000 to $2,000,000+/- in outlying areas.

Los Palos Area: Flat, near the Lafayette/Moraga Trail, close to town and the freeway. Some lots here are unusually large. This is a very desirable location. Prices from $900,000's -$3,000,000+/-.

burton valley Condit Area: Close to freeway, prices range in the $900,000-$1,100,000+/- to the Kelly Court neighborhood $1,200,000-$2,000,000+/-.

springhill Quandt Area: Close to Springhill Elementary and Acalanes High, BART and freeway. Prices range from $900,000's to $2,000,000+/-.

Lafayette Hills: newer small subdivision, private location, prices from $1,200,000- $2,000,000+/-.

happy Silverwood Area: more hilly location, views, many contemporary styled homes, wooded lots. $900,000 to $2,500,000+/-.

happy Sky Hy Ranch: gated community, very private, many homes have views, some traditionals, many contemporaries. Prices from $1,100,000 to over $1,800,000+/-.

happy Camino Colorados: homes mostly built in 1951-1954. Prices $800,000-$1,200,000+/-
